Durable goods orders, consumer sentiment

Stocks fell on Thursday after a whistleblower complaint against President Donald Trump was released. Traders also monitored the latest trade developments. The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded 31 points lower, or 0.1%. The S&P 500 dipped 0.3% while the Nasdaq Composite pulled back 0.5%. CAD / USD continued to trade in a very narrow band. In general a quite day on all the currency fronts. Currently, the TSX is up 0.04% and the DJIA is down 0.02%. EURCAD is down 0.13% trading between 1.4468 and 1.4533. GBPCAD is down 0.15% trading between 1.6303 and 1.6409. JPYCAD is down 0.33% trading between 0.01230 and 0.01232. Gold is up 0.17% trading between $1,500 and $1,512USD/oz while silver is down 0.06% trading between $17.72 and $18.05. Oil (WTI crude) is down 1.10% trading between $55.77 and $56.84.
