U.S. equities were mixed Tuesday as investors digested the latest earnings reports and awaited more news about trade talks between America and China. Treasuries fell, while the yuan strengthened past 7 for the first time since August. The S&P 500 was little changed after a record-setting Monday, as declines in real estate and consumer staples offset advances in financial stocks. The Stoxx Europe 600 Index nudged higher, and oil rose for a third day, while gold slipped below $1,500. Currently, the TSX is up 0.02% while the DJIA is up 0.20% . EURCAD is down 0.40% trading between 1.4543 and 1.4645 . GBPCAD is down 0.20% trading between 1.6895 and 1.6960. JPYCAD is down 0.32% trading between 0.01204 and 0.01210. Gold is down 1.50% trading between $1,486 and $1,507USD/oz while silver is down 1.60% trading between $17.68 and $18.09. Oil (WTI crude) is up 1.85% trading between $56.34 and $57.71.
