U.S. China trade relations continue to dominate the economic news. Markets remain tepid this morning.
China's Global Times is out with another piece downplaying the chances of a US-China trade deal. There are no sources in the deal, instead the newspaper spoke to people who attended a US-China Entrepreneurs Roundtable."If the business roundtable was any indication, the trade negotiations still face major obstacles to reach any fair and reasonable deal," the report says. Currently, the TSX is down 0.21% while the DJIA is down 0.11%. EURCAD is up 0.15% trading between 1.4608 and 1.4644. GBPCAD is up 0.15% trading between 1.7066 and 1.7126. JPYCAD is up 0.38% trading between 0.01212 and 0.01217. Gold is down 0.29% trading between $1,464 and $1,475USD/oz while silver is up 0.18% trading between $16.97 and $17.18. Oil (WTI crude) is down 2.00% trading between $55.97 and $57.03.
