Global stocks tumbled, government debt yields sunk to unprecedented lows and crude oil extended declines as anxiety over the spread of the coronavirus surged. The six day slide pushed the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average indexes down 10% from all-time highs set this month. Haven assets continued to be in demand. Currently, the TSX is down 2.06% and the DJIA is down 2.18%. EURCAD is up 1.13% trading between 1.4520 and 1.4685. GBPCAD is down 0.07% trading between 1.7143 and 1.7261. JPYCAD is up 0.75% trading between 0.01207 and 0.01217. Gold is up 0.59% trading between $1,641 and $1,657USD/oz. Silver is up 0.49% trading between $17.90 and $18.14. Oil (WTI crude) is down 4.77% trading between $46.15 and $48.51.
