Stocks were slightly higher Thursday morning after the three major indices endured a deep rout a day earlier. Investors also digested a record surge in third-quarter GDP after a historic slump earlier this year, and another weekly report on jobless claims that came in better-than-expected. A slew of corporate earnings results also loom.

Currently, the TSX is down44 0.24% and the DJIA is up 0.26%. EURCAD is up 0.23% trading between 1.5592 and 1.5651. GBPCAD is up 0.30% trading between 1.7272 and 1.7350. JPYCAD is up 0.75% trading between 0.01271 and 0.01282. Gold is dow 0.73% trading between $1,863 - $1,884USD/oz while silver is down 2.56% trading between $22.57 - $23.51. Oil (WTI crude) is down 5.70% trading between $35.39 - $37.72.
