It is shaping up to be a busy period for the $5.1 trillion a day currency market which has speeches from five Federal Reserve policy makers to contend with, the likely highlight being Chair Janet Yellen's address tomorrow. U.S stocks struggled to keep up with global equities that started the week higher. The report on U.S. durable goods kicks off a string of economic data that may also drive momentum in financial markets, with key reports due on inflation, employment, manufacturing and housing from China to the U.S. Currently, the TSX is down 0.11% while the DOW is up 0.10%. EURCAD is up 0.22% trading between 1.4781 and 1.4865. GBPCAD is down 0.02% trading between 1.6828 and 1.6917. JPYCAD is up 0.34% trading between 0.01184 and 0.01192. Gold is down 0.92% trading between $1,236 and $1,258USD/oz., silver is down 0.62% trading between $16.27 and $16.74USD/oz., while oil is down 0.84% trading between $42.66 and $43.63.
