World stock prices pulled back from record highs after weaker-than-expected Chinese economic data, while sterling rose on hawkish tones from Bank of England. Chinese real estate investment picked up last month, but factory output, fixed asset investment and retail sales in the world's second-largest economy all fell short of expectations. Shares fell in Asia, knocking MSCI's All-Country World index , which tracks shares in 46 countries, off a record high hit on Wednesday, when Asian shares hit their highest since 2007 and Wall Street closed at all-time peaks. Oil hit $50 a barrel for the first time in a while. Currently, the TSX is up 0.04% while the DOW is up 0.02%. EURCAD is up 0.30% trading between 1.4439 and 1.4524. GBPCAD is up 0.74% trading between 1.6004 and 1.6334. JPYCAD is up 0.63% trading between 0.01099 and 0.01105. Gold is up 0.31% trading between $1,315 and $1,327USD/oz., silver is down 0.25 trading between $17.58 and $17.79USD/oz., while oil is up 1.52% trading between $49.15 and $50.06.
