European shares were on track for a fourth straight day of gains and the Dow is at a record high with the safe-haven yen breaking below its post-Brexit low on Tuesday as easing political tensions in Britain and stimulus hopes boosted risk appetite. Interior Minister Theresa May was set to become Prime Minister of Britain on Wednesday, offering some relief from the political uncertainty that has dogged the market since the country voted to leave the European Union last month.
The TSX is up 0.61% while the Dow is up 0.43%. EURCAD is down 0.30% trading between 1.4430 and 1.4529. GBPCAD is up 0.70% trading between 1.7027 and 1.7205. JPYCAD is down 2.18% trading between 0.01245 and 0.01280.
