North American Stock markets are down for a second day in a row as jitters persist over climbing longer term interest rates. All eyes are on President Trumps State of the Union speech tonight and tomorrows US Federal Reserve announcement. The Canadian dollar is relatively flat so far in very quiet trading. Currently, the TSX is down 0.21% and the DOW is down 1.17%. EURCAD is up 0.33% trading between 1.5259 and 1.5350. GBPCAD is up 0.24 trading between 1.7301 and 1.7447. JPYCAD is up 0.93% trading between 0.01131 and 0.01138. Gold is up 0.34% trading between $1,334 and $1,348USD/oz., silver is up 0.58% trading between $17.07 and $17.33USD/oz., while oil is down 2.00% trading between $64.23 and $65.39.
