Major U.S. equity indexes followed European and Asian stocks higher as the corporate earnings season gathers pace. Benchmark 10-year Treasury yields pierced the 3 percent level for the first time since 2014, while the dollar retreated from the highest level since January. Corporate earnings remained in focus with 180 S&P 500 firms reporting this week. Currently, the TSX is up 0.14% while the DOW is up 0.29%. EURCAD is unchanged trading between 1.5630 and 1.5693. GBPCAD is up 0.05% trading between 1.7868 and 1.7940. JPYCAD is down 0.31% trading between 0.01175 and 0.01182. Gold is up 0.38% trading between $1,321 and $1,330USD/oz., silver is up 0.50% trading between $16.55 and $16.73USD/oz., while oil is up 0.34% trading between $68.60 and $69.30.
